On November 4, 2008 two members, Minister King Samir Shabazz and Jerry Jackson, of the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense (NBPP) stationed themselves outside a polling place at 1221 Fairmount St, Philadelphia, PA. (See video) On January 7, 2009 (eleven days before the inauguration of President Obama), the Department of Justice filed a lawsuit against these two men, NBPP, and Malik Zulu Shabazz (acting chairman of NBPP) for violating Section 11(b) of the 1965 Voting Rights Act for engaging in and attempting coercion, threats, and intimidation of voters and those aiding voters at the polling place.
The complaint alleges Samir Shabazz "brandished a deadly weapon...pointed the weapon at individuals, menacingly tapped it [on] his other hand, or menacingly tapped it elsewhere." He and Jackson were also accused of hurling racial threats and racial insults at both black and white voters while the polls were open as well as making "menacing and intimidating gestures, statements, and movements directed at individuals who were present to aid voters." Malik Zulu Shabazz and NBPP "managed, directed and endorsed the behavior, actions and statements" of their co-defendants, according to the complaint. In addition Malik Zulu Shabazz was accused of making statements "adopting and endorsing the deployment, behavior, and statements" of Samir Shabazz and Jackson following the election.
After the defendants failed to appear in court or present a defense, the court ordered the DOJ to prepare a motion for default judgment against them. On May 1, 2009, DOJ sought an extension to comply with the order. DOJ stated the extension was necessary to "craft an appropriate and equitable remedy" because it had not "had the benefit of discovery" in the case and did not anticipate "that the Defendants would make no showing whatsoever." The court granted DOJ's motion on May 4. The defendants unwillingness to appear or defend themselves had cost them the case. All that remained was for the DOJ to file the necessary motion and the court to grant it.
Instead, on May 15, DOJ filed a proposed default judgment order against Samir Shabazz and dropped its case against the other three defendants. The court then handed down its judgment against Shabazz that prohibits him from displaying a weapon within 100 feet of any or to intimidate, threaten or coerce voters or those assisting voters.1 No fines, no admission of guilt, really not even a punitive act of any kind!

American capitalism gone with a whimper
It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.
True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.
Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.
First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blind the foolish.
Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.
The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.
These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?
These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more then a whimper to their masters.
Then came Barack Obama's command that GM's (General Motor) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of "pure" free markets, the American president now has the power, the self given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.
So it should be no surprise, that the American president has followed this up with a "bold" move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK's Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our "wise" Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.
Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper...but a "freeman" whimper.
So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set "fair" maximum salaries, evaluate performance and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator Barney Franks, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.
The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.
The proud American will go down into his slavery with out a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.

You remember the President's new approach to dealing with our enemies. Let's listen to them, talk to them, embrace them, apologize to them.
He said countries will be more apt to cooperate with the United States on tough issues, even if only on the margins. Resistance based on anti-American conceptions of the past will fall away. MSNBCEvidently N. Korea sees things a little differently.
Last month they fired a long range missile in spite of Sec. of State Hillary Clinton's threat of "consequences." Yesterday, the communist country defied Obama and the international community by detonating a nuclear device. The leader of the free world says this action poses "a grave threat" to the world community. And today the defiant Kim Jong-Il fired off more short-range missiles to dispel Obama's naive vision of a world in which all nations smoke a peace pipe and sing songs of unity and cooperation.
But what would give the N. Korean tyrant pause? Why would he feel the least bit hesitant about challenging the most powerful nation in the world? ...Read full article

With Memorial Day Weekend upon us, the following video provides a chilling reminder of the price of war but presented in a most patriotic way. "Remember, it is about the warrior and not the war." The song is presented by the Trace Adkins & the West Point Cadet Glee Club! God Bless our military and our veterans! Wounded Warrior Project!

Obama may have thought he was safe for a few days when he sent "Loose-lips" Joe out of the country, but he managed to give the press another gaffe in Kosovo.
It's no secret the President has suffered some setbacks on his plan to shut down the military prison at Gitmo, but he still claims to be in control of the situation and that America will be better off once the 240 hardened terrorists housed there are dispersed around the globe, or around the US, or anywhere but penned up on a secure island where they can do no harm.
After stating he "thinks" the administration will close the prison by its self-imposed deadline, he continued with "But, look, what the president said is that this is going to be hard. It's like opening Pandora's Box. We don't know what's inside the box."
So Obama says it needs to happen. We must close down the terrorist home for the good of the country. But his second in command admits they really have no clue what the consequences of following through will be.
I seem to recall these fools harshly criticizing Bush for acting with haste, without a well thought out plan.
Joe-the-ever-ebullient-orator didn't stop there though. In response to Americans' concerns over these trained terrorists being incarcerated on our soil, Biden suggests we "go to some maximum security cells if you want to know some dangerous people. Matter of fact, it might be an awakening to them."
So we should enlighten ourselves by dropping in on the Unabomber, or the infamous shoe bomber, get to know them a little and we'll see just how nice these guys are down there at Guantanamo. We might even invite one or two over for supper, maybe let them date our daughters once we see what gentle creatures we've really been keeping down there.
Biden may well be our best asset the Right has at the moment.

A Fox News Poll conducted by Opinion Dynamics Corp. offers some corroboration of what true conservatives have been saying about the Obama administration's economic policies--it just won't work. The poll asked Americans their opinions on Obama's spending, government interference in private industry, how they view the current US housing market, and their thoughts on the condition of the US economy in general.
Though Obama likes to portray his spending hikes as "investments," Americans aren't buying it. The President's semantics haven't convinced the 78% who still consider it spending their money. Thirty-five percent of Americans believe Obama's spending is "just about the right" amount needed in light of the current economic situation, but that's a far cry from the 54% who are convinced he's spending too much. And even though Obama has offered up a few token budget cuts in recent days, 60% say his policies are wasting too many tax dollars.
All in all, I think we can safely say a majority of Americans aren't too happy with Obama's "stimulus" package and budget.
Another interesting tidbit came in a question on government involvement in individuals' lives. Though Republican turned Obama supporter Colin Powell recently opined that Americans want more government involvement in their lives, 71% of participants disagreed and believe less government is preferable.
And what about Obama's attempts to "save" the US auto industry?
With Chrysler already in bankruptcy and GM rapidly advancing toward that end, Ford is the only US automaker who hasn't accepted government money. In other words, Ford's the only one Obama hasn't "saved." From the responses in the poll, Ford made the right call to forego the government cash. Only 1/4 of Americans would consider purchasing a Chrysler product today, 46% would still consider a GM product, but more than half--54%--would buy a Ford if they were in the market for a new vehicle today.
Looks like GM and Chrysler would have been much better off cleaning up their own mess if they want people to buy their cars!
The stock market won't be getting much of a boost from individual investors based on the findings in the poll either. A majority of Americans believe it's not a good time to buy stocks, 55% say they won't buy stocks at the moment while 30% think it is a good time.
It appears Obama may have misjudged the "mandate" he thought he was given in November, because the folks aren't buying his "Change."
These numbers give me "Hope" there will be a "Change" in 2010 if the GOP runs a candidate who offers a real alternative.

Fox News reported yesterday that a majority of Americans now identify themselves as pro-life on the abortion issue.
Fifty-one percent of Americans consider themselves "pro-life" and just 42 percent say they are "pro-choice," the first time a majority of the country has stated a personal objection to abortion since Gallup polls began tracking the data 15 years ago. ...MoreThis is the first time since Gallup began tracking this issue that pro-lifers have overtaken pro-choicers! In fact, just last year the numbers were 50% pro-choice, 44%pro-life.
If you're thinking this is simply a statistical anomaly, think again. Gallup's own article indicates it considered this possibility when it explains these results were corroborated by two other polls yielding almost identical numbers--one was another Gallup poll, but confirmation also came from a Pew Research Center which showed an 8-point drop in those who believe abortion should be legal in all or most cases.

Sounds like great news for the Republican Party, right?
Not if it listens to the numerous calls that insist a move to the center is the GOP's only hope for survival, like seen here, here, and here. To make matters worse, there's evidence the party may already have charted this course. Continuing to take this path will only make matters worse as the party continues to alienate true conservatives, and offers no alternative to the Democrats and their left-wing, Socialist agenda.
>Rush Limbaugh's been saying it, Dick Cheney's been saying, I and countless others have been saying it, the GOP needs to move back to its conservative roots if it hopes to recover from the thrashing it's taken in the last two election cycles.
This Gallup poll should tell the GOP a move to the center will be committing suicide.

Perhaps more would agree if the government made some effort to spend the fruits of Americans' labor wisely. Instead, we can always count on politicians and bureaucrats to frivolously dole out millions of dollars on outrageous expenditures that contribute nothing to the lives of the taxpayer.
Here are a couple of outrageous examples of how the government wastes your money:
NIH Funds $2.6 Million Study to Get Prostitutes in China to Drink Less
The federal government is spending $2.6 million to make sure prostitutes in China drink less on the job.
That's the goal of a five-year study, bankrolled by the National Institutes of Health, designed to help lower HIV infections among China's "female sex workers," who are referred to in the study as "FSWs."
Researchers will visit 100 houses of ill repute -- a whole hamlet of harlots -- to collect data on 700 prostitutes and 150 pimps and madams, referred to as "gatekeepers" in the study's sterile abstract.
U.S. Government Funds $400,000 Study on Gay Sex in Argentina Bars
Government researchers are spending more than $400,000 in taxpayer money to hit the bars in Argentina.
The National Institutes of Health are paying researchers to cruise six bars in Buenos Aires to find out why gay men engage in risky sexual behavior while drunk -- and just what can be done about it.
And they wonder why we balk when they demand more of our money!

ARRA News Service - Senate Republican Conference: The Obama administration has a plan to close the terrorist detention camp at Guantanamo Bay. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a plan for what to do with the terrorists -- which means terrorists may soon be taking up residence in a neighborhood near you.
Excerpt from ARRA News: Today in Washington D. C. - May 6, 2009 - Do you want a GITMO Detainee in Your State?
So, the question is - Do YOU want a GITMO detainee housed or released in Your State?
GITMO remains an issue: Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), now ranking member on the Judiciary Committee, sent a follow-up letter to Holder, asking why he has not yet answered his letter from a month ago seeking a legal rationale for administration plans to release detainees trained at terrorist camps into the United States. Sen. Sessions wrote in the letter, “It would be both dangerous and contrary to our immigration laws to admit trained foreign militants into our civilian population. . . . It is the job of the Attorney General to uphold and defend the rule of law and to defend this Nation against terrorist influences. . . . Nonetheless you appear to be pressing for the release of trained militants who are inadmissible under our immigration laws and who have demonstrated hostility toward Western culture and even basic women’s rights.”
Democrats are also looking for answers from the administration on Guantanamo. Politico reports, “Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is now demanding specifics on where the prisoners will go and what will be done with them. Reid’s concerns, laid out Tuesday afternoon at a news conference, come a day after House appropriators yanked $81 million requested to help close the facility in Cuba.”
Meanwhile, everywhere the administration looks to send detainees, it is running into problems or outright resistance. Local communities are beginning to announce their opposition to having detainees either housed nearby or outright released into their communities. Last week, officials in Stafford County, Virginia, expressed concerns about detainees possibly being held at the Marine Corps base in Quantico. The Miami Herald reported over the weekend that people and officials in the towns surrounding the U.S. Naval Brig in Charleston, South Carolina, are opposed to having detainees moved there. And a state senator in Louisiana is moving a resolution asking Congress to keep detainees out of the Bayou State.
Yesterday, we reported the negative response by Germany to accept between 10 and 20 detainees and Deutsche Welle reports today that there is resistance to this request among lawmakers there in several different areas of the country. The AP reports that the administration hopes that Saudi Arabia will accept Yemeni detainees into its terrorist rehabilitation centers. But, according to the AP story, “In an embarrassing episode for the kingdom, Saudi officials announced in February that 11 former Guantanamo detainees who went through the rehab program are now on its government’s most wanted terrorist list for their connections to al-Qaida.”
Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said today, “Americans want to know that on the issue of Guantanamo the administration is as concerned about safety as it is about symbolism. They’re concerned about the administration’s plans for releasing or transferring some of the most dangerous terrorists alive. They want to know that these terrorists won’t end up back on the battlefield or in their backyards. At the very least, they should know as much about the administration’s plans for these men as our European critics do.”

The so-called Citizens United case offers the Supreme Court a chance to severely curtail the free speech abuses of the Federal Election Commission. If the government can ban broadcasts under federal law, that else can they ban? Books? Commercials? In the following CATO video, campaign finance law and free speech experts discuss the case, and what it means for the future of free speech. The Supreme Court is set to rule on it in the next few weeks. John Samples, Director of the Cato Institute's Center for Representative Government, Institute for Justice Senior Attorney Steve Simpson and George Mason University law professor Allison Hayward weigh in.
The infringement on free speech is troubling. We will be sure to let you know when the Supreme Court makes their ruling. While we cannot predict the outcome, the very thought that the government could eventually ban books, news print, this blog, and any other form of political commentary is nothing more than overturning the 1st amendment. What part of "Congress shall make no law . . . prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press . . ." does Congress and the Federal Election Commission not understand?

Keeping the automakers out of bankruptcy, and thereby removing the necessity that the restructuring move forward based on "The Rule of Law", was paramount if the Unions were to have any hope of securing the payment of their unsecured VEBA health care trust claim. A big win for the politically savvy and well connected UAW, but a terrible loss for the bondholders and taxpayers who will foot the bill. Only in the political arena could two unsecured creditors receive vastly different treatment, as have the Bondholders and the Unions. The UAW, whose unsecured VEBA is owed $10 Billion by GM, will receive 39 percent of the GM stock; the Bondholders, who are owed $28 Billion, will receive 10 percent of GM stock . Do the math: the Union has received 10 times what the government expects the bondholders to take in this restructuring.
In the Chrysler deal, the Union fared even better, as they were unsecured creditors and the Chrysler bondholders were secured creditors. The bondholders received 28 percent of the value of their $6.9 billion in bonds in cash; the Union will receive stock worth approximately $4.2 billion, and a note for an additional $4.58 billion, which represents 82 percent of the value of their claim. Either the government negotiators have dyslexia and have made a terrible mistake in their paperwork, or this is political payoff WRIT LARGE. Is this not the equivalent of financial water-boarding?
And thus we enter a brazen new era of government, when the White House is openly complicit in the theft of - as a matter of fact is directing the looting of - private property from investors. Welcome to the Rule of Man, or as the President calls it, change we can believe in! Where campaign contributions mean everything and the rule of law, not so much. Exactly what did he mean when the President of the United States said, "Let me be clear. The United States government has no interest in running GM. We have no intention of running GM." Apparently he meant it's not an interesting job, but we are going to do it anyway!

Millions of Americans enjoying their small windfall from President Barack Obama's "Making Work Pay" tax credit are in for an unpleasant surprise next spring. The government is going to want some of that money back. . . . new tax withholding tables issued by the IRS could cause millions of taxpayers to get hundreds of dollars more than they are entitled to under the credit, money that will have to be repaid at tax time.
At-risk taxpayers include a broad swath of the public: married couples in which both spouses work; workers with more than one job; retirees who have federal income taxes withheld from their pension payments and Social Security recipients with jobs that provide taxable income. . .
Obama has touted the tax credit as one of the big achievements of his first 100 days in office, boasting that 95 percent of working families will qualify in 2009 and 2010. . . . The tax credit was designed to help boost the economy by getting more money to consumers in their regular paychecks. Employers were required to start using the new withholding tables by April 1. The tables, however, don't take into account several common categories of taxpayers, experts said. . . .
Some retirees face even bigger headaches. The Social Security Administration is sending out $250 payments to more than 50 million retirees in May as part of the economic stimulus package. The payments will go to people who receive Social Security, Supplemental Security Income, railroad retirement benefits or veteran's disability benefits.
The payments are meant to provide a boost for people who don't qualify for the tax credit. However, they will go to retirees even if they have earned income and receive the credit. Those retirees will have the $250 payment deducted from their tax credit -- but not until they file their tax returns next year, long after the money may have been spent.
Retirees who have federal income taxes withheld from pension benefits also are getting an income boost as a result of the new withholding tables. However, pension benefits are not earned income, so they don't qualify for the tax credit. That money will have to paid back next year when tax returns are filed. . . .
Rep. Dave Camp of Michigan, the top Republican on the tax-writing House Ways and Means Committee, said Geithner has yet to respond to concerns raised by committee members. "So far we've got the, 'If we don't address this maybe it will go away' approach," Camp said. . . . [Full Article: Inside Washington: Taxpayers to get rude surprise]
